Academy Policies
Please review the policies governing course access, use of this website, and the handling of information submitted through the Post-Surgery and Fibrosis Academy.
Course Policies
Post-Surgery and Fibrosis Academy
Effective Date: August 27, 2026
These Course Policies apply to educational programs offered by Post-Surgery and Fibrosis Academy (“Academy”), operated by Medical Massage Professionals LLC. They establish the general requirements governing course access, assessments, successful completion, certificates, and applicable Continuing Education reporting.
Course-specific requirements may vary and will be identified on the applicable course page or within the educational platform.
-
Enrollment in designated Academy programs is restricted to qualified licensed or credentialed healthcare professionals.
Applicants may be required to submit professional licensing, registration, certification, or other credential information for verification before enrollment is approved.
Submission of professional credentials does not guarantee admission. Applicants must satisfy the eligibility requirements established for the applicable program.
Once professional credentials have been verified and admission has been approved, the applicant will receive instructions to complete enrollment and obtain course access.
-
Students have 90 days from the date of enrollment to complete the applicable course.
During this period, students are responsible for completing all required:
Lessons and educational content
Knowledge checks
Assessments
Examinations, where applicable
Clinical or instructional components required by the course
Final course-completion requirements
All requirements must be completed within the 90-day course-access period.
-
Knowledge checks and assessments are part of the educational process and are not intended merely as administrative requirements for course completion.
Their purpose is to:
Confirm understanding of the material presented
Reinforce important clinical and professional concepts
Identify areas that may require additional review
Encourage students to return to applicable course material when necessary
Support achievement of the established learning objectives
Where available, students may review correct answers together with educational explanations intended to strengthen understanding of the subject matter.
-
Where a course requires a graded examination or final assessment, a minimum passing score of 70% is required for successful completion.
Students who do not achieve the required passing score may review the applicable course material and assessment explanations before attempting the examination again.
-
For courses requiring an examination, students are permitted a maximum of three attempts.
First Attempt
Available after completion of the required course material.Second Attempt
Available no sooner than 24 hours after an unsuccessful first attempt.Third and Final Attempt
Available no sooner than 48 hours after an unsuccessful second attempt. The waiting periods between attempts are intended to provide students with sufficient time to review the applicable material before retesting.
All examination attempts must occur within the original 90-day course-access period.
-
If a student does not achieve the required passing score after three examination attempts, the course will be considered not successfully completed.
A Certificate of Completion will not be issued until all applicable course-completion requirements have been successfully satisfied.
Where Continuing Education credit applies to the course, such credit will not be reported until the course has been successfully completed in accordance with Academy requirements.
-
Successful completion requires satisfaction of all requirements established for the applicable course.
Depending upon the program, these requirements may include:
Completion of required educational content
Completion of required knowledge checks
Completion of required assessments or examinations
Achievement of the minimum passing score
Completion of any additional requirements identified for the course
Simply purchasing, accessing, or viewing a course does not constitute successful completion.
-
Where offered, a Certificate of Completion will be issued only after the student has successfully satisfied all requirements established for the applicable course.
Certificates document completion of an Academy educational program. They do not grant professional licensure, expand a participant's legal scope of practice, or independently authorize the performance of any professional service.
The student's name and professional information used on the certificate must correspond with the information verified by the Academy.
-
Continuing Education credit will be identified only for courses for which such credit is officially applicable.
Where an Academy course has been approved for Continuing Education credit, applicable hours and approval information will be displayed with that specific course.
Continuing Education credit will be reported only after the student has satisfied all requirements necessary for successful completion.
Completion of a course that is not specifically identified as approved for Continuing Education credit should not be interpreted as providing CE credit.
-
Students are responsible for managing their course progress and completing all requirements within the applicable access period.
Students are encouraged to:
Progress through course material in the sequence presented
Review educational explanations following assessments
Revisit lessons when additional clarification is needed
Allow sufficient time to complete required assessments and any permitted examination attempts before course access expires
The Academy's assessment process is designed to encourage understanding and professional learning rather than completion through memorization alone.
-
Course access is issued to the individual student whose professional credentials and enrollment have been approved.
Student accounts and course access may not be transferred or shared with another individual.
Additional requirements governing account use, intellectual property, copying, recording, distribution, and unauthorized access are contained in the Academy's Terms of Use.
-
Payment, cancellation, refund, billing-error, and chargeback provisions are governed by the Academy's Terms of Use.
Students should review those terms before completing enrollment.
-
The Post-Surgery and Fibrosis Academy believes that professional education should promote meaningful learning, not simply satisfy a course or licensing requirement.
Assessments are designed to help students understand the material, reinforce the concepts presented, identify areas requiring further review, and demonstrate successful achievement of the course learning objectives.
The Academy's goal is for students to complete a program with stronger professional knowledge—not simply with a certificate.
-
The Academy may reasonably update course organization, educational materials, assessments, technology, or administrative procedures when necessary to maintain or improve the quality of its educational programs.
Any material course-completion requirements applicable to an enrolled student will be communicated through the applicable course or educational platform.

-
Post-Surgery and Fibrosis Academy provides Professional Development & Advanced Training in Post-Surgery Treatments, Fibrosis Prevention and Correction, and related professional subjects.
Academy programs are educational in nature. They do not grant a professional license, replace professional education required by law, expand an existing professional scope of practice, or authorize any procedure or service that the participant is not legally permitted to perform.
-
Admission to designated Academy programs is restricted to qualified professionals whose credentials and professional eligibility can be verified.
Applicants may be required to provide their professional license, registration, certification, credential number, issuing authority, jurisdiction, expiration information, official verification source, and supporting documentation.
The Academy reserves the right to verify this information directly with the applicable regulatory or licensing authority.
Submission of an application does not guarantee admission.
The Academy may decline admission when professional credentials cannot be verified or when the applicant does not meet the admission requirements established for the program.
-
Applicants represent that all professional and identifying information submitted to the Academy is accurate, current, and authentic.
Providing false, altered, misleading, borrowed, or fraudulent professional credentials may result in denial of admission or termination of access without refund.
-
Students remain responsible for complying with the laws, regulations, professional standards, and scope-of-practice requirements applicable in the country, state, province, or jurisdiction where they practice.
Completion of an Academy program does not authorize the participant to perform any service or procedure prohibited or restricted by applicable law or professional regulation.
-
Enrollment and course access are issued exclusively to the approved individual.
Accounts, passwords, course access, educational materials, assessments, videos, demonstrations, documents, and other Academy resources may not be shared, transferred, loaned, sold, sublicensed, or made available to another person.
-
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Academy course materials and original educational content are protected intellectual property belonging to Medical Massage Professionals LLC, Marian Sotelo-Paz, and/or the applicable rights holder.
This may include, without limitation, written educational content, course organization, instructional materials, photographs, clinical photographs, videos, demonstrations, graphics, presentations, assessments, forms, documents, protocols, educational terminology, and proprietary training materials.
Enrollment provides a limited, personal, non-transferable right of educational access only.
Ownership of intellectual property is not transferred to the student.
-
Except where the Academy expressly provides downloadable material for the student’s authorized personal use, students may not:
Record or screen-record Academy videos or presentations.

Use Academy materials to create, reproduce, teach, sell, or distribute another course or training program without express written authorization.
Unauthorized use may result in suspension or termination of access and may subject the responsible party to applicable legal remedies.
-
Completion of an Academy program does not create an employment, partnership, agency, franchise, representative, or endorsement relationship with Post-Surgery and Fibrosis Academy, Medical Massage Professionals LLC, or Marian Sotelo-Paz.
A participant may truthfully state that they completed the specific Academy program they successfully completed.
However, participants may not represent or imply that they are:
Authorized representatives of the Academy;
Instructors for the Academy;
Partners or associates of Marian Sotelo-Paz or Medical Massage Professionals LLC;
Personally endorsed or recommended by Marian Sotelo-Paz;

-
Where offered, a Certificate of Completion documents successful completion of the applicable Academy educational program and its established requirements.
A Certificate of Completion is not a professional license and does not independently authorize professional practice or expand the holder’s legal scope of practice.
The Academy reserves the right to establish completion requirements before issuing a certificate.
-
Academy programs are intended for professional education.
Clinical demonstrations and educational materials illustrate principles and techniques within the context presented in the program. Students are responsible for exercising appropriate professional judgment and complying with their own legal scope, professional standards, and applicable patient/client requirements.
Students acknowledge that manual therapy, drainage, and related post-surgical techniques carry inherent risks when applied in a clinical setting, and that outcomes depend on the individual practitioner’s skill, judgment, and compliance with applicable professional standards. Students assume full professional responsibility for evaluating each patient, obtaining any necessary patient consent, and determining whether and how to apply any technique learned through an Academy program.
-
Due to the digital nature of Academy programs and the granting of access to proprietary educational content, all digital course sales are final once Access has been granted, except where a refund or cancellation right is required by applicable law.
For purposes of this section, “Access” is granted at the earlier of: (a) the date the Academy enrolls the student in the applicable course and course content becomes available within the student’s account, or (b) the date the student first views, downloads, or otherwise accesses any course content.
Failure to complete a program, lack of available time, change of mind, personal circumstances, or failure to use purchased access does not constitute grounds for a refund.
If payment is received for a program but the Academy is subsequently unable to verify the applicant’s professional credentials, or determines that the applicant does not meet the program’s admission requirements, the Academy will refund the payment in full — less any non-refundable third-party transaction fees actually incurred — within a reasonable time after that determination.
Duplicate charges, billing errors, or verified technical access problems will be reviewed individually.
Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable consumer law.
-
12.1 Educational Purpose Only
The Academy provides professional education and, where applicable, continuing education only. The Academy does not supervise, direct, or control a student’s clinical practice, and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment to any patient or client of a student.
12.2 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will the Academy, Medical Massage Professionals LLC, Marian Sotelo-Paz, or their respective officers, employees, contractors, or agents (collectively, the “Academy Parties”) be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to a student’s enrollment in, completion of, or application of any Academy program, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Academy Parties’ total aggregate liability arising out of or related to a student’s enrollment shall not exceed the amount actually paid by that student to the Academy for the applicable program in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by the Academy Parties’ own negligence, where such liability cannot lawfully be limited.
12.3 Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the student agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Academy Parties from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) the student’s application of any technique, protocol, or information learned through an Academy program to any patient or client; (b) the student’s violation of applicable law, professional licensing requirements, or scope-of-practice restrictions; (c) the student’s breach of these Terms; or (d) any inaccurate, false, or fraudulent information the student submitted to the Academy.
This section survives termination of the student’s enrollment or access, and survives completion of any Academy program.
-
Students are encouraged to contact the Academy at info@fibrosisafterlipo.com regarding legitimate billing or access concerns before initiating a payment dispute.
The Academy reserves the right to provide relevant transaction records, acceptance of these Terms, account-access records, educational progress records, communications, and other appropriate documentation when responding to a payment dispute or chargeback.
-
The Academy may suspend or terminate access for material violations of these Terms, including credential fraud, account sharing, unauthorized copying or distribution, misuse of intellectual property, or misrepresentation of affiliation with the Academy.
Where permitted by applicable law and appropriate to the circumstances, termination resulting from a material violation may occur without refund.
-
Enrollment or completion does not guarantee professional advancement, employment, business results, income, patient/client outcomes, or any particular professional result.
-
The Academy may reasonably update educational materials, technology, program organization, instructors, assessments, or administrative procedures when necessary to maintain or improve its programs.
-
Use of Academy services is also subject to the Academy’s Privacy Policy.
-
To the extent permitted by applicable law, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, a student’s enrollment, or an Academy program shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered under the rules of a recognized arbitration organization, seated in Osceola County, Florida, on an individual basis only and not as part of any class, consolidated, or representative proceeding — except where applicable law does not permit a dispute to be resolved by arbitration or a class-action waiver to be enforced. Either party may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court for disputes within that court’s jurisdiction.
Mandatory consumer rights or other rights that cannot legally be waived remain unaffected.
